Welcome to Scirocco

The word Scirocco comes from the name given to a warm breeze that is created from the cool desert nights air over the Saharra, warming up in the morning and then sweeping Northwards across the Mediterranean Sea. This breeze makes landfall at varying times depending on your location in the Mediterranean, but in general arrives at approximately lunchtime and continues to blow softly until sunset.

Our dining concept here at Scirocco follows the age old tradition that is found at all four corners of the Mediterranean. From Spain to Lebanon, Italy to North Africa you will find the dining experience is one of a culinary extravaganza. Small dishes to share is the order of the day, a refreshing diversion from the traditional three course dinner affair.

Here at Scirocco our aim is to whisk you away on a culinary adventure that will tantalize your taste buds and hopefully give you a small insight into the interesting cultures of the Mediterranean.

In our menu you will discover 'Tapas' from Spain, 'Antipasti' from Italy and 'Meze' from Greece, Turkey, Lebanon and Egypt. For those with larger appetites we also include some 'Tajine and Hotpots' from Morocco and Algeria. Our site is always under re-construction and updating.
